Train Layout And Composition

Unpowered Passenger Car compartment-Coach

Railway Passenger also Cars known Coach, are the most common and widely used model in the world, Railway Passenger Cars form a diversified and serialized product structure.
Railway Passenger Cars are generally used in conjunction with locomotives. They are a reliable type of train that meets the needs of medium and long-distance passenger transportation in most areas.
Among them, seat cars are the most common, while and sleeping cars, dining cars, and luggage carts. are also provided according to the vehicle’s different functions.
The general running speed of passenger cars is between 80-180KM/h, the parameters are determined and functionally configured according to the area (line conditions, environmental conditions, etc.) and usage requirements of the customer.


Electric Multiple Units-EMU

Distributed-power Electric Multiple Unit, also known as multi-group electric trains. EMU contains a wide range, the classificationis not based on operate speed, and the most common vehicles are metro vehicles that run underground in major cities.

Diesel Multiple Unit-DMU

Diesel Multiple Unit similar to EMU,however the difference is that traction unit of the train adoptsa diesel locomotive. This type is more practical and reliable general will be used for some areas where it is difficult to erection overhead contact line.


Metro

Urban Rail Transit contains two types: Metro and Light Rail. Metro and light rail can built under ground, on ground or elevated above the ground.

The subway type refers to the model of vehicle used in the metro (urban rail transit).In general, there are no uniform standards for metro around the world, with vehicles often tailored to the needs of the subway in one area or country.

According to international standards, urban rail transit trains can be divided into three types: A, B, and C, which correspond to train widths of 3 meters, 2.8 meters, and 2.6 meters respectively.The rail transit line that uses the A-type or B-type train is called the subway, and the train is composed of 5-8 trains. The rail transit line that chooses the C-type train is called the light rail, and the trains of 2~4 sections are used. The model and grouping of the train determine the axle weight and station platform length.

The A-type car is currently the top-level urban rail transit train.It is characterized by a wide carbody with a width of 3 meters.The cost and technical content of B-type and C-type vehicles are smaller than those of A-type vehicles.

The subway(metro) is not limited to this form of operation line in the underground tunnel, but refers to the large-capacity urban rail transit system with high-standard EMUs with a peak hour and one-way transportation capacity of 30,000 to 70,000 people.Subway has diversified operating lines, with a combination of underground, ground and elevated lines.


Light Rail

Light rail is an important form of urban rail construction and the fastest growing form of rail transit in the world today.The light rail has a smaller locomotive weight and passenger capacity than the average train. The rails used are light in weight and only 50kg per meter, hence why it is called "light rail".

The light rail in urban rail transit corresponds to the "Metro".Compared with light rail, trams and rubber-guided trains are completely different in technology, so they are not part of the light rail system.


Characteristics include: (1) automatic signal system for train operation (2) dedicated rail and station for train operation (3) maximum speed is 80 km/h (4) max. train grouping is 4 knots (5) the hourly delivery 10,000 to 30,000 people.

Urban light rail has the advantages of large volume, high speed, low pollution, low energy consumption, on-time operation while being high safety.Urban light rail and subway(metro), urban railways and other forms of rail transit constitute the urban rapid rail transit system.It can effectively alleviate the tension between population and transportation resources, cars and transportation facilities.
